Hi there! My name is Aaliyah Taylor, Founder and Designer of Exalting in Beauty. I am an artist who lives for bright colors and designs. I am a native of Birmingham, AL, where I create handcrafted ear candy made from Perler Beads™. In 2020, I was one of 20 winners awarded the JOANN’s Inaugural Minority Creative Grant, which opened the doors to collaborate on a jewelry kit with Perler Beads™, selling online on Amazon, Perler, and JOANN Fabric and Crafts. My jewelry has been featured on regional and national publications, such as: Food & Wine Magazine, Woman’s Day Magazine, Birmingham Times, OTM Journal, and AAA Explorer Magazine. In June 2022, I was chosen as the Season IV winner of the Magic City Fashion Week Emerging Designer Competition, which pushed me forward with confidence and boldness to bring to existence wearable works of art-- in clothing form-- for all sizes and bodies.
